iPhone or HTC Legend UNLOCKED
anyone know the cheapest place to buy it?

For the iPhone, probably a 3GS, if you can find 4, thats great too. And HTC - legend. It looks amazing.

Ive been looking for them, unlocked, so I can get whatever plan I want. best I could find for HTC was like $500, and iphone was also around $500-550

I think the Pacific Mall has unlocked phones. Just make sure that you bring an azn person who speaks Mandarin/Cantonese along with you if you yourself aren't one of those. They charge white people more :p.

i just got a legend and got it unlocked online 399 plus tax directly from bell, 10 dollars to unlock
from CellUnlock.net, they will ask you for your Imei number which is on the box. Use this code to get the unlock code for 10 dollars, crackb50.

Sweet.

Did you buy it instore? Also, are you required to go with a data plan now that it is unlocked? Or can you go with any normal plan and just use wifi for browsing/etc

you can go with any plan since the phone is yours and there not giving you discount, so you could essentially just get a pay as you go. but my question is is an unlocked legend from bell usable on rogers?

yes the legend is usable on rogers or any provider without a data plan. Because the phone is locked through bell, it has bells APN settings, if you don't correct them for your specific provider then you wont be charged for any data. You could go on pay as you go but that kind of defeats the purpose of having a smartphone. Ill post up pics and a review on wednesday

Are you saying you can use data for free? Or that you wont be charged for data if you accidently try to access it because it wont work?
