This course focuses on the physiology (and some anatomy) of life from fertilization, to the pre-natal period, to birth, childhood, and adolescence. The professor uses lots of graphs and charts to explain points. Some students find this difficult to learn from. You'll have to be able to properly interpret graphs and understand all the important concepts from them. It's quite interesting as are all courses that focus on how the body works. The professor is a really nice guy, but is straightforward in his classes. There is also a culminating debate in groups of 4. I was on the team for why an all vegetarian diet can be just as healthy as a diet with meat in terms of maturation. I highly suggest this course to anyone who wants to become involved in health care and medical school, especially paediatricians. This course is available to if you're in kinesiology or honours biology with a physiology specialization.

How does this course compare to the growth & development course in second year by Dr. Blimkie? More difficult, around the same?
