ok im in first year life sciences...and i really want to do Kinesol 1Y03 but its been full for a while....is it possible for me to ask them if they can open seats? or email the prof and ask if its possible for dem to open up seats?

they wont do it, they wont do it for anyone i need it too especially for a course 4rd year but its still a no

Don't give up! It is a very good course and relatively easy too.

They won't open spots for you. You're only chance is to try on MUGSI and see if any spots open up. They're limited to the number of seats in the room (MDCL 1305) and they usually reach the seating capacity. The only person who has reserve seats is Audrey Hicks, the Kin Associate Chair, and as mentioned above, will only make special exceptions for upper year students who need this course as a prerequisite for professional schools.

i went in and asked and NOPE!! I have almost given up hope on this course :(

hmm that sucks...then i don't think its possible for me to get in now...the only way is if people drop the course and i doubt they would every do that

I got into both kin 1Y03 and 1YY3 in first year by asking the science academic advisors--not the kin people, the generic science people. They had that thing where you go and sign up for courses at Mac and they show you how to do it and stuff, and I said I wanted to get in but they're full, and they opened up spots for me no problem. It's worth a shot, and if you can, go in person--it's harder to reject a face than an email!

If not, then keep trying! People are switching courses all the time, especially after timetables come out and in the first week of classes.

Just keep on checking, August 11th onwards is when students make their changes.

kin 1y03 is one of the most popular course so they def. wont open a spot for u...but u can always check SOLAR, somebody will drop it!
