Of course you do...unless you want blood all over your clothes!
They're not mandatory for every lab, but for some you'll definitely need them--especially the dissections and the blood typing/hematocrit.

Yeah you definitely don't want blood of certain things and ... specimen stain your clothes... the smell isn't pleasant.

On the same topic, do we need our own goggles for anatomy and physiology?

Yes, but not for all labs though. There is one lab that is particularly bloody *shudders* and you may want to avoid blood of certain specimen getting squirted into your eyes...

Yeah, I guess blood/specimens drenched in formalin and lunch don't mix.

Formaldehyde, I believe...meh, I guess it depends on the person. I didn't mind the blood, except maybe the pig heart/lung dissection where it was straight from the slaughterhouse and not preserved at all. That was a bit intense
I found it really hard to eat lunch after seeing the cadavers, though--particularly meat :S

As for the goggles, I don't remember using them at all. Ideally, blood isn't actually squirting everywhere, that just happened once by accident while doing hematocrit/blood typing, and the girl only sprayed herself with her blood, no one else was close enough (luckily!)...the cow eyeball dissection might also be an issue, since it tends to squirt....
They'll tell you for sure if you need goggles, though--just because I don't remember using them, that doesn't mean we didn't lol.

I liked the hands-on part of the labs...not so much the tutorial part
