Lan Party next Thursday!
Yes, you heard us correctly. A LAN party! For those who don't know what that is, it's defined as a "Local Area Network Party ... where a load of 'cool' people get together in one place with their computers, connect them all together, and then have some fun" (DoomedPC). Now, whether you consider gamers 'cool' or not, if you like games like Counter Strike, Starcraft, Warcraft, and Unreal Tournament then this event is for you!
The event is being organized by Kevin Folz, an Engineering student at Mac, who has started a group called "MacLanClub". He aims to make it an official MSU club by next year. So far the group has held at least one LAN party, which was a success.
Next LAN Party Details:
Date: Thursday Feb 28th
Time: 6:30pm till midnight (drop in anytime)
Location: JHE Engineering Lounge (aka the Drain) room 121
Cost: Free! Open to all McMaster Students
Games Hosted:

NO CD's Needed! All games are downloadable from 100Mbit server on LAN.
* Also for MAC OS
What To bring:
Desktop + Monitor/ Laptop, Mouse & Keyboard, Power Cord, Network Cable (some are available to borrow)
