Life Science 2C03 or 2D03?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone would suggest Life Science 2C03 over 2D03, or vice versa?

I know that Life Science 2C03 is similar to Psychology 2F03 and 2N03, and Life Science 2D03 is similar to Psychology 2TT3... but since I have not taken any of those Psychology courses, I don't know how similar they are.

I've heard that 2C03 may be easier than 2D03? Plus, if I take 2C03, I'll have 5 courses in both terms 1 and 2, but if I take 2D03, I'll have 6 in term 1 and 4 in term 2. Considering all that, which would you recommend I take?

Any help would be appreciated!

Generally good advise is to avoid overloading one semester.

The reason why I'm considering overloading in term 1 is because the courses I have are...

Term 1
biology 2b03, chemistry 2oa3, psychology 2b03, psychology 2e03, life science 2a03

Term 2
biology 2a03, chemistry 2ob3, psychology 2h03, biochem 2ee3, life science 2h03 (going to drop because it conflicts with chemistry 2b03)

It seems like term 2 will be the more difficult one, so I was considering the extra course in term 1...

It's your choice, but that could end up being a horrible semmester for you.

FYI

BIO 2AO3 and LIFE SCIENCE 2A03

are the same exact courses. just different course names. Don't know why its like that but.. yeh you would be taking the same course both semesters.

No, Life Science 2A03 is a new course called research methodologies and Biology 2A03 is physiology of animals.

Plus, if the two courses were cross-listed, SOLAR wouldn't let you take both.

i doubt that a bit cause the course descriptions are extremely different, maybe the adviser made a mistake.

I think you're thinking of Life Science 2B03 and Biology 2B03... those two are the same course.

Overloading isn't that bad. I've done 5 and 6 courses and did fine. As long as you time manage appropriately, you should be okay.

Biology 2A03 is a prerequisite for upper year physiology courses. I would highly recommend it because it's really interesting.

I haven't taken Life Sci 2A03 but it sounds like it would be good if you're interested in research. It might improve your analysis of scientific papers as well.
