Life Science Co-op
I was just wondering what majors in life science allow for co-op and what are the requirements to apply for co-op (like specific gpa). Also is co-op really worth while?

Each of those programs have co-op, for admission see: http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /CALEN...nt/pg1466.html

Co-op is a great opportunity to get hands on experience in the work force for your program's specific area of study. You also get paid and can begin networking.

Edit: Also application: http://www.science.mcmaster. ca/scc...ctive-students

I did co-op in high-school and found it to be an invaluable experience. It really opened some doors for me and provided me with some great references. I'm just starting Co-Op now but I am 100% sure it was the best decision I could have made.

I will graduate with a complete degree, plus a full year's worth of experience (3 terms) in the field, plus enough $$$ (for my financial situation anyways) to graduate with no debt. Sounds like a win-win scenario to me!

As far as admissions go: I was never presented a GPA cut-off, but I was accepted with a cumulative average of 10.15 after second year. I don't know how many applicants there were, but in my interview I asked what my chances were to get in based on number of applicants alone and they told me 50%. So take that for what it may be worth :p
