Linguistics 2E03 or Natural Disasters?
Hey

So I have to decide between these two courses. Which one is easier in terms of difficulty and workload?

I am thinking about dropping 2E03 but am a little ambivalent. The course materials look very interesting, but the workload 'seems' pretty heavy, given that the 1st assignment is already out and it feels more like a major project than an introductory assignment imho. It's not difficult per se but it's a bit too much work for the first assignment. I can't imagine how the rest of the two would be like. Unfortunately I couldn't find any comments on this course from former students. I guess I'll make a decision over the weekend.

Natural Disasters - no assignments, just a few quizzes and a mid-term. Just read through the lecture notes and textbook a few times and it should be no problem achieving a 10+. What's better is that the old prof (who was terrible) has been replaced with a new prof this term.

2E03 is SUPER easy...more than possible to get an A+ in it even if you put a tiny bit of effort - I went to 3 classes and got an A...
All slides are posted and Stroinska puts related material to help you out on ELM too. She's an awesome prof who's very approachable and will go out of her way to help you out.
I can't speak for Natural Disasters, but this course is one of the easiest I've ever taken

How did you find the assignments?
