Pissing yourself genre:
Amnesia
Penumbra
FPS:
Half Life 1 & 2
Doom
Unreal Tournament III
Wolfenstein 3D
Bioshock 1 & 2
Left 4 Dead 1 & 2
(Mass Effect 1 & 2) - not sure if these count as FPS or RPG, lol
Portal
RTS:
Starcraft 1 & 2
Pharaoh
RPG/MMORPG:
Diablo 1 & 2
Lineage: The Blood Pledge/Cross Rancor

When I got Guild Wars 2 years ago I loved it. It was probably the best game I ever played. But therein lies the problem, I'm not a hard core gamer. I haven't played many games. But I think GW is definitely worth the money. Really an awesome game. |

There are really only 4 genres worth playing on PC: FPS, RTS, Sim, and MMRPG. Everything else should probably be on a console.
