I always prefer to work with any music in the background as opposed to silence, so study music = all my music! Sometimes I can effectively push it into the background but other times it's just jamtimez and madness. Sometimes I try to opt for more instrumental/different languages so I don't sing along, but it doesn't help when you A capella all the instruments.

Leaving Earth is one of my favorite songs ever

I still get goosebumps from it, hearing it when *spoiler?!? you leave earth in mass effect 3* is even more amazing

p.s. I always wake up to this song (with task scheduler)

These guys are great, they redo pop songs into classical style and I found without the lyrics it is very nice

.The Fountain (Clint Mansell)
. Jane Eyre (Dario Marianelli)
. The Pianist (Chopin and Wojciech Kilar)
. Never Let Me Go (Rachel Portman)
. Atonement (Marianelli)
. Black Swan (Mansell)
. Milk (Danny Elfman)
. Earth Days (Michael Giacchino)
. Requiem For A Dream (Mansell)
. Pride and Prejudice (Marianelli)
. The Ghost Writer ( Alexandre Desplat)
. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (Desplat)
. The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas (James Horner)
. Frost/Nixon (Hans Zimmer)

I've listened to all of those while studying, but the heaviest in rotation is probably The Fountain and Atonement.

And any composition by Zoe Keating.

I'm really into piano music when I study, Yiruma, who's this amazing pianist, came out with a few new tracks this summer. One of them is called Stay in Memory, he's definitely worth checking out!

Are you kidding me? Music is a total distraction and throws me right off course every time. I become completely disoriented

love listening to r&b while doing some calculus
but!! it is suggested to study in the same mind frame that you will be in while doing the actual assessment... so its suggested not to study with music!

I usually listen to stuff like hiphop/rock/acoustic stuff when I'm working out or going about my day, and when I need to sit down and study I just like to play some good ol' classical to calm myself down
