I like to listen to music without lyrics. Since you like techno, you should listen to "The xx"; "Intro" is a really good song for studying by them.

I listen to music while I study and I find it helps me, but only if the piece I listen to is instrumental. Can't have lyrics distracting me.

Check out Tracy Chapman! As long as you don't mind lyrics when you're studying.

I usually listen to instrumental movie soundtracks like LOTR, it's sort of dramatic but makes studying so much more interesting lol.

I feel that listening to music while studying and learning new materiel is a difficult task for me. However, I don't mind listening to soft music while solving math problems.
