Looking for mini review for earth sci/enviro sci 3UO3
The group component is worrying me since I would have to rely on people I don't know. Does anyone have any advice on to take or not to take this class? Thanks!

The group component wasn't as issue when I took the class. Most of the work on that project is done during class hours, potentially even all of it if your group works well together.
I found the class interesting however you only learn one modelling program and it is not a widely used one. The prof that teaches it uses the program that the company he works at uses, so unless you plan on working at that company then the class won't really be useful to you in the future.
