Looking for WOW Testers.
Hello,

Many of you may know the famous game World of Warcraft, at MacWOW we allow multiple players to play on the same World of Warcraft server to be given the chance to play with one another. This is to test the functions of a program named MANGOS and make sure everything is working correctly.

We will be holding PVP tournaments and other special events for anyone who wishes to play the game. Players can choose two options when they begin on the server.

A - Begin your character at level 1 and go through the world of warcraft as you would on the official world of warcraft server, leveling up, collecting experience and gold, playing with your friends and trying to beat them to level 70.

B - Immediately be changed to level 70 so you can participate in PVP tournaments and other events, a complete set of gear, with a hefty amount of other skills/items will be given to you to compete against others. (PVE is always an option too).

For people new to the game it is reccomended that you play a character up to at LEAST level 20 to get the hang of the game before you begin to compete in PVP tournaments. This is just so you actually have a small idea of what you're doing and you dont run blindly into combat only to be killed within seconds. The PVP Tournaments are mainly for ex-wow players who would still like to play the game because of their experience in using advanced techniques with classes which will help identify bugs. Every class has some bugs, and it is up to us to find them.

Also I'd like to clarify some things:

1. Yes this is free
2. This is not illegal, it is an educational project.
3. We're only accepting 5-15 people (maybe more).

If your interested please check out www.macwow.co.nr. If you've got any questions please ask here and I'll do what I can to answer.

Thanks!

You should be telling MacInsiders members what Macwow is, perhaps it will perk their interest more

No "Meeting" place really, it works almost like official world of warcraft. If you already have the game, you just change one file so you connect to macwow server instead of the official servers. If someone new were to want to join they'd follow these general steps:

1. sign up at www.macwow.co.nr
2. download/buy world of warcraft (available to download free from www.worldofwarcraft.c om)
3. install the game
4. follow steps on www.macwow.co.nr to connect to our server.
5. play

You dont have to be with us in person or anything in a LAN party to play. We settle everything over the internet. The server is run off of a personal computer, and is usually up 24/7.

All we ask from the testers is to simply play the game and report any bugs they find or suspect. We're working on getting a weekly date for peopel to gather together to play battlegrounds together as well.
