hey i just found a charger at the caf in the library!!! I have a lab test in a bit so i will give it to UTS after. IF YOU ARE THE PERSON THAT LOST YOUR CHARGER TXT ME AT 905 923 2110 5:30 ish (time ill be done ) and i can just give it to you!!

Just as a future reference for people who want to report items they found: don't give out a plethora of details.. you need these details to determine if the person who is contacting you actually lost the item and is not just claiming it for themselves because they're an arse..

Give. It. To. Lost. And. Found(security). Office. Near. Thode.... :/

I remember back when Thode used to lend out laptops, I was accused of losing a Macbook charger when a friend of mine actually returned it. I had to shell out $50 (eBay price at the time) for a new one to replace it because the library didn't believe me.

The next year, I happened to find a spare Macbook charger, exactly like the one I had replaced for them, in a laptop case. It wasn't returned. Call me a scumbag, but the way I see it, I was just balancing the world out.

Irrelevant to the topic at hand but it's just what I was reminded of.

It's pretty detailed in the description of the charger, and of course with all things it's a risk to get something on ebay, but I did get one from there and it's been alright so far. So *shrugs*

Word. With the rate cell phones/tablets explode with original batteries, you can't expect anything to work these days, whether its original or not.

With regards to the quality of the eBay chargers:

I personally used to flip these chargers for a profit. I also happen to know a great deal about lithium polymer, and lithium ion batteries, charge rates, capacities, lifes, storage charges etc...

Let me just say that the chargers coming out of eBay are actually very impressive. Compared to the apple chargers they give out 80% of the wattage; and this is a good thing because the slower you charge lithium polymer or ion batteries, the more effective cycles you will have on that battery.

The chinese chargers on eBay also have a far better connector compared to the apple ones. The apple equivalent rips apart so easily it isn't even funny..

I love apple, don't get me wrong. but the quality of their USB chargers, earphones(especially), and AC chargers are absolutely horrid. I really don't understand why Apple hasn't improved them over so many years. As a piece of trivia, apple earphones have a frequency response worse than earphones you'll find at the dollar store.
