low CA
Hi guys,
what happens if your CA was too low in first year to get into an honours prgm. ? If u raise your CA in second year, can you apply and get into to the honours prgm? In addition, would you have to upgrade your first year marks if a certain CA is required for those first year courses?
thanx

My avg wasn't high enough to get into third year honours but I'm working towards it. Just work hard and do well in your courses and when you apply for courses the following year you'll have the hon. program option if your avg is back up. You can't change your marks, it stays like that. Don't waste your time redoing the course. Just focus on the future not the past. Talk to your Faculty's office and ask what you can do if that average is required-- or perhaps you just aren't meant to be in that program and should consider switching. If you truly love something you will do well in it.

If you need a certain mark in certain classes, you'll have to redo them before they'll let you into honours.

IF they let you re-do them. Sometimes you're not allowed...it all depends on the program.

And yes, you can apply for Honours at the end of your second or third year.
