Mad Maps: A Welcome Week orientation for students with mental health concerns
A Welcome Week / Orientation Week event for new and returning McMadsters and Madhawks and Mad students attending or preparing to attend any other school

When? Tues, Sept 9 from 5-8pm
5-6:30: Info session
6:30-8: Hang out / attend the Laughing Like Crazy comedy night hosted by OPIRG: https://www.facebook.com/events/681055838644591/

Where? Email Alise at hamilton.mad.students @gmail.com for our top secret location!

Get a map to Mad student life.

Meet some travel guides and companions so you don’t have to navigate alone.

Learn how to avoid poison ivy and other wellness weeds.

Stock up on sunscreen and trail mix to protect and sustain you on your travels.


All welcome — especially first years, "first episodes", and grad students.

[learn about your legal rights, how to access disability-related academic accommodations, financial aid for students with disabilities, services and resources, navigating school bureaucracy, Mad community...]

Attendees are expected to maintain confidentiality (personal identities and personal stories are private).

Can’t make the meeting? Looking for other support? Join our active email discussion listserv to continue this and other conversations. The listserv is a private place for members to talk about our lives, support each other, discuss ideas, share info/resources/events/news, and arrange spontaneous gatherings.
