The McMaster Marauders beat the Acadia Axemen 45-21 Friday, earning the Uteck Bowl and a trip to Vancouver to play for the Vanier Cup.
The Vanier Cup is Canadian Interuniversity Sport's championship trophy and is played for by the winners of the Uteck Bowl and the Mitchell Bowl. The Marauders will take on the Laval Rouge et Or at BC Place on Friday, Nov. 25. Game time is 9 p.m. EST.
McMaster has made only one previous appearance at the Vanier Cup, losing the 1967 championship to Alberta by a single point.
Alumni and friends in the Vancouver area are invited to attend a pre-game reception at the Coast Plaza Hotel and Suites starting at 1 p.m. PST.
Supporters in the Hamilton area are invited to watch the game on a big screen set up on campus at Burridge Gym.
