Master timetable help
Hey guys, Im going into my first year at mac Im taking social sciences 1. I am in the process of making my mock timetable and I noticed when I searched Inquiry (1SS3) not only the times came up but also the profs teaching the course and notes.. I was just wondering what the notes are? Because Im confused as if the course will be different depending on what prof is teaching it? I thought the course outline would be the same? If someone could help me out, I would be very very thankful!!

Yeah but I want to change my course around cause the times suck lol, but solar won't be available for me until Wednesday at 830.. so i figured if i made a mock timetable it will save me the trouble of what time slots to choose on Wednesday

Yeah, the course will be different depending on the prof/core. The topics are very broad which is nice, so you don't have to worry too much about the two cores being different. When I took it, the course focused on 3rd world economies and then for the essay you pretty much had free reign as long as it included the course topic.
Overall, the course is the same - both classes will be doing the same activities, the only difference is the focus of what you're looking at.

And to answer your question, it should be the same tests (if its the same course) regardless of what prof lectures... however, one prof might be better than another at lecturing..

Thanks!! Did you have Hough? I saw a thread of here saying that he? or she? lol is an easy marker.. but the class is at 830 am and i really dont wanna wake up that early.. Plus sex, gender and society with greene sounds likes a better course and its at a better time for me. Have u heard anything about Greene or about that course?

The assignments and evaluations most likely won't all be the same from one core/prof to another, but the skills you are practicing/learning are. I took it this past year in term 2 and I had a few friends from another section and they had some assignments that were different from the ones I had. If I were you I'd try and choose the core that has the topic that interests you most so that you're actually interested in it when writing your major paper.

Thanks! I think I'm gonna go with sex, gender and society. That looks pretty interesting!
