there were two professors given for my bio course in the master timetable

do they both teach during the same session or what?

Wat course are you talking about? If it's first year bio, each prof usually teaches 1/2 of the course (6 weeks or so with each prof) within the same term.

That's what I thought . So yes, each prof teaches about 6 weeks of the course.

Assuming that both profs are good, I actually liked the switch. A change in prof was nice after seeing same face/way of teaching and testing for a month and a half. But maybe that's just me

As long as the prof is good, I would rather have the same one for the entire semester. We get used to one prof's teaching styles and testing methods and suddenly it's a totally different professor and we're back to square one. But that's just my opinion.
