Math 1AA3 at other universities
So I did terrible in math 1AA3 and i figure I need summer school (my grade report recently got updated). Im looking at UFT Scarborough campus and ryerson and york as my options. Also, where I found equivalent courses to Math 1AA3 is here
http://www.eng.mcmaster.ca/lop/equiv2.php#ONTARIO_UN IVERSITIES.

What I don't understand is why does York have 2 courses which are equivalent to Math 1AA3 is there a difference if I took one or the other and will taking either of them impact creditable courses equivalent to Math 1AA3 taken here?

For example for Math 1AA3 @ York Uni:
Math 1AA3 (mcmaster equivalent) = AS/SC/MATH 1014 (Applied Calculus II)
AS/SC/AK/MATH 1310 (Integral Calculus with Applications)

Also, where can I find the costs, when summer school for courses in Term 2 begin? Other documents and such? etc etc... one more thing which university is easier to handle @[email protected]

Thanks for replying!

Why not repeat it at Mac? Math 1AA3 is offered in summer.

If you take it at another school it will just show up as passed on your transcript therefore not helping your overall average. If you're looking to improve your CA then you will need to take it at McMaster otherwise, if you passed, you may as well save yourself time and money and not take it.

If you don't need it, don't retake it. It won't matter much unless it was _really_ bad and it brings down your cumulative average.

if your mark was a zero then you should take it at mac. If you take it another university, it will only count as a pass/fail and you will still have that 0. Best case scenario, is you take it at mac get a 12 and both average out to give you a 6.

I think a 12 is very likely for math, especially with 1AA3 and 1A03, they test you on the stuff that you actually did instead of giving you tricky questions where you had to remember some trivial detail (chem)

If it's required for entry into a second level program then you will not be able to enter into that program. That can limit what courses you can take next year but you can always try to get stuff waived. You also won't be able to take courses that have Math 1AA3 as the requirement, I doubt you will be able to get that one waived.

Absolutely no offense intended, but if a second year program requires math 1AA3, it's probably a math-related program and if you actually did get 0 in 1AA3, it might be a good idea to reconsider your choices for second year.

Doesn't chemistry require 1AA3? It's not that math-intensive...
