Not to discourage you, but everyone says they'll start during the break,, and no one ever does

Anyways, do chapter 5 over the break, if you're going to do anything. That's it, that's all. All of it.

The course website is usually up. Take a look here for 1ZB3. The 1ZC3 one will probably be up by the time profs are finalized.

I know when I was talking to McLean after lecture, he told me that he was still in the process of "making" 1ZC3...

It looks like they will be covering integrals, so you could start by learning integration (chapters 5 to 7 of Stewart). After you learn substitution/change of variables, you should probably focus most of your time on chapter 7.

Just do chapter 5 over the holidays. seriously. You won't get through it all: No one ever gets work done on holidays.

Chapter 5 is so boring though, it's Riemann sums, nobody wants to learn theory when starting to learn integrals.

no one wants to learn over a break, and no one wants to learn boring stuff in general, but you're not going to jump into integration... You will see 6-7 questions out of chapter 5 in your tests, so why not learn how to get that 5-8% out of your course?

riemann sums are kind of the basis of integration. it is worthwhile learning them.
and as for what is going to be covered in zb3 and zc3?
Open your textbook. Anything that was not covered in ZA will be in ZB and ZC.

They definitely don't cover everything in the book in first year, I remember seeing stuff in the book about Fourier series and vector calculus.

Its never too early to learn about Fourier!

Yup - the Stewart textbook includes a good deal of vector calculus. I think it's the textbook used for Calculus III (for science), as well as iSci's math component.

I didn't even realise it had linear algebra in it. 1B03 uses a different text.
