I have 4 problem sets to complete, so shouldn't have a problem with material . Would they be against showing me how to do specific problems from the assignment, that i can't get.?

I dont think so, they might prefer to have something to reference, actually. As you as you dont try to get them to do it for you - ask them how to approach it, have them show you method vs the answer, etc.

That is all I am looking for Method. The book given to me for this course is horrible, each chapter is composed of 90% wall of text. I just need some examples to look at to understand whats going on instead of having to try and understand what they are trying to say.

There is only so much you can do on your own. I can read the book a hundred times but its not going to make a difference without looking at examples for some concepts.

This is an online, do it your self course. I have no instructor, only help I have is a tutor that checks his e-mail every other day.

1. Buy this book http://www.amazon.ca/Schaums-000-Sol...7472960&sr=8-2
2. Identify all chapters that is on exam and highlight chapters where you did badly in midterm/quiz
3. Practice till you recognize pattern of all type problem you encountered during course.
4. ??????
5. A+

Mind you, the book is strictly mechanical. No proofs, theorems. Only problems and straight to the point

That is the thing though, this course that I am doing is not the same course. It has concepts and things that I have never seen before. It is from University of Athabasca. By all means if it was the same course I did, I would pass with flying colours. I have done most of the problems that I am familiar with.

At the end of the day I need to be able to ask someone, when they say this, what do they mean? How would I apply this concept to this question. It is not as straightforward as you seem to think it is.

What course is that? I didn't get the point. Do you need prove theorems or what? For applying concepts, there are solving problems to apply your knowledge to problems.

It is a Math course based on everything Complex Variables. I wish so badly right now that i just retook the course at Mac, it was much simpler. The course at Mac is ENG TECH 2MA3

The assignments start easy with integrate this differentiate that and then just goes to hell form there.

There is a loot of proofs.

Can u link content of your text and name of textbook? According to this link http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /calen...12/pg1899.html, it says nothing about complex analysis in 2ma3 but for 2mt3 it does.

2MA3 is the course I failed and did not have much complex analysis, the equivalent as given to me by my advisor is this one at Athabasca Uni. It is an online course so I can complete it without effecting my year.

http://www2.athabascau.ca/syllabi/math/math366.php

Like is said before, if I was doing 2MA3 again I would have no problem. I should have past it the first time but there were other things at play at that point in time.

Either way I am now stuck with trying to understand the concepts of complex variables on my own, I am sure once I finish the course and look back at it, it will be easy. But its hard jumping into some of these the first time and trying to figure things out.

Ill try and link the textbook in the morning
