McMaster Engineering Custom Vehicle Team
(Hey, do you think we can get on the front page with this?)

The McMaster Engineering Custom Vehicle Team. Maybe you've seen us around campus, but as yet don't know who we are. For those who missed it during welcome week, MecVT's current projects were out during Welcome Week: the Carpool II (Impala trailer), Carpool III (Caprice wagon), and the Tempo/Beater convertible car.
  • Carpool II the oldie that was converted into a fully registered trailer with proper license plates. We'll be adding a barbecue to the engine bay this year.
  • Carpool III was built in Summer 2009; fully functional and heated by the V8 engine and a heat exchanger. Yes, it can do real hot tub temperatures.
  • Tempo: Roofless and jacked up, needs no introduction. Very faithful car to us.
  • Motorized Shopping Cart: a Mac Eng classic that is currently being resurrected from a rusty grave. We will need help to rebuild it for the upcoming Santa Claus Parade!
For all members and interested people, new or returning, we will be having a TEAM MEETING on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 7th at 7PM. We will meet in JHE A102. At this meeting we will be discussing more about the team, sharing our new and old projects, going over our future plans, and getting ideas about stuff YOU want to do! Everything is fair game to be put on the table. Oh, and you get to meet your friendly neighbourhood MecVT exec panel, too.

Hope to see you all there. Like you may have heard, no skills or experience are necessary to join. We'll teach you! Being in Engineering is NOT a requirement. If you can't make it out but would like information, email us at [email protected] and we'll also put you on our mailing list.

+1 item added to the agenda. One of the items on the to-do list this year is to acquire a tool to be known as the Grod'sky. It shall need no teaching and be capable of unbelievable feats of strength.
