McMaster Facebook groups problem
Hey guys,
So my friend can't seem to join any of the groups within the McMaster Community on Facebook and haven't received the conformation email nor can I register my McMaster email to my Facebook account.
Do you guys know why this is happining and how to solve this?

What is the error when you are trying to register your email?

He can login to his McMaster e-mail though, correct?

Did they check the junk mail and spam filters? It could be that the message is getting filtered out.

Hey guys,
Yes regular e-mail works. There is no particular error, its just that she is not receiving the conformation (not in spam as well).

Check the e-mail address that you registered with. If it was regular McMaster e-mail ( [email protected]), the advice given should help sort this out. But, if it was sent out of Avenue ( [email protected], or [email protected] r.ca), then the problem is that Avenue does not allow any incoming external e-mail. This quirk is a deliberate part of the design of Avenue mail.

She registered with mcmaster.ca, then it says to confirm, but that email is not recieived (not even in Junk)!

They really shouldn't have based Avenue mail on an actual email system... especially an asymmetric one.
