I will post info once it is finalized.
To answer the above two posts as well:
Your socioeconomic status doesn't matter
Yes, the novice program is for people with no experience whatsoever

From what I understand it is for you as long as you just haven't rowed competitively.

BJ Palmer is correct, as long as you have not competed (ie- a sanctioned regatta against other clubs) then you may join the novice team. For the most part most people coming into the novice team will not have any experience and that is okay.
However if you have competed in a sanctioned regatta and still would like to join the rowing team, Training camp for Varsity rowers begins this Saturday at 10:30am

So I know it has been a couple weeks but your patience has finally paid off:
Saturday Sept 11th
9am - meet at student center to carpool/group bike down to Leander Boat Club
run time 9am-12pm
Sunday Sept 12
9am-12pm Leander Boat club
There is also no such thing as being to big for rowing, we emplore you to come and try out!
Also, if you are unable to locate the facebook group, send me your email (the one attached to your facebook account if you have one) at [email protected] m
Thanks

What if you're a welcome-week rep and can't make it?

If you are a welcome week rep, no big deal send me your information (email, where you will be/what you will be doing that day) and perhaps alternate arrangements can be made.
You will however, need to be able to balance you ww repping with the rowing training regimen. We have had many reps join our novice team, not to mention our varsity team.
So the bottom line is, you make time for what you want. So do you want to row?
