isitdownrightnow.com says that the servers have been down since about 6:30pm.
This really sucks, I was using an e-book from the library to write a paper and now I can't access it :S

I constantly find it funny that they still link to 'dailynews.mcmaster.c a' despite the complete mcmaster network failure. I want to say, "Sorry, but facebook & twitter are social media sites & are not trustworthy, and dailynews.mcmaster.ca is not currently functioning so cannot be confirmed." There's a conspiracy somewhere over here!
Thus, there's no confirmed system failure by McMaster! (Refer to the novel Catch-22 for joke)

McMaster sysytems themselves are not down. The external connection is down. Aka Rogers/Cogeco. If you need to access to internal mcmaster websites you can do so from any macconnect/secure hotspot on campus. I do not believe all the Avenue infrastructure is on campus though (part on campus, part in waterloo with the company that made it) so Avenue probably wont work at all.

I've come to the conclusion that everything involving technology and has mcmaster's name attached to it is useless. Lets run by a brief list shall we:
-SOLAR: Lol dont even get me started here
-MUGSI: Until 2 years ago this thing was as big as a joke as SOLAR
-Campus Internet: Incredibly slow (at least using library computers)
-Library Computers: Innis, Mills, Thode, Health Sci, take your pick the computers are slow everywhere
-A2L: Lets just say their "maintenance" has done wonders year after year, after year
-Campus servers: If you knew where these things were located you would probably shake your head, and be estonished at the same time that Mac can even run a technology system in that environment
Conclusion: Thousands of dollars from students wasted each year and not one of these things has been improved. Lets keep our fingers crossed for Mosaic....if it arrives when its supposed to....
