SOS is excited to announce that their annual Trick or Treat event is fast approaching. Every year on Halloween we ask for volunteers who will go out in groups to neighbourhoods in Hamilton to collect candy. This year, volunteers will be trick-or-treating on behalf of the Ronald McDonald House, which supports sick children and their families.
We would like to extend this invitation to McMaster Students interested in helping out in this fun event. We are looking for approximately 30
groups of 2-5 people, headed by a leader, who will go trick-or-treating on designated routes planned by us. The routes will be about a 15 minute walk and the event will run from 6 - 9pm on Halloween night (Wed Oct 31st).
If you are interested you will need to first sign up on a googledoc that will be provided. On this document you will need to designate a group leader who can give us their email and phone number. Here you can also indicate if you are able to go out farther from the McMaster, in areas such as Dundas and Ancastor. The night of you will need to meet us in the board room by clubspace, between 6 - 6:30pm to receive your group's designated routes. We also ask that you try to bring something to put the candy in, pillow cases, garbage bags, etc. When your group is finished all you have to do is come back to school and drop the candy off.
If You and a group of friends are interested in helping please email
[email protected] om and we will provide you with the googledoc link required to sing up
Thank you and Happy Halloween!
