what is the meaning
Please what is the meaning of this course is not a requirement,i saw it in my degree audit.i do not understand how it is not a requirement is an elective.

You mean it's listed under "COURSES THAT WERE NOT ASSIGNED TO A REQUIREMENT"?

If that's the case, than it means this course is not required for your degree.

Does your degree requires an elective?

If that's the case, then there's probably a list of allowed electives for your program.

Make sure it is listed under the courses accepted for your degree. For engineering, some electives won't contribute to your elective requirement because they're outside of the scope of engineering. It's also possible that the computer just didn't process your courses properly.

Probably you took an elective that was not approved for your degree. It counts in your GPA but not as a credit

Ahhh social sciences
Yeah you probably should have checked the readily available list of acceptable elective courses for your program before choosing them. There goes that money
