Mex-I-Can

Mex-I-can is worth the trip downtown. If you are near the Jackson Square, walk up James street until just past York BLVD. I had posted this review on google maps

"The food was fresh and well made. You could tell (from eating and watching) that everything was made from scratch and nothing was just dumped out of some factory-made box. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. It lacks the formality and pompous atmosphere found in most restaurants; they know you are hungry/ you know they make good food. Simple as that. Feels almost like you snuck into someone's kitchen and had a delicious Mexican meal prepared for you. I will definitely be a return customer. The music in the restaurant was also great. Nice Clave rhythms.‎"

I never knew food could taste like that. I wish I could get a job there to learn.

Beware of odd hours, sometimes they are closed after lunch.
