Does anybody know if we have to buy from titles? Or can we buy anything used?

The textbook? It's not really needed to do good in the course. I never opened the textbook (was still brand new in packaging when I sold it), and I got a 12 like several other people in that class.

The slides are comprehensive enough you don't need it. I didn't buy it and I got an 11

No, its not worth wasting anything. The class is pretty boring as it is.

I never looked at the textbook and didn't put much effort into the class as at the time it was the lowest priority out of all the courses I had, and I got a 10 on it. I'm sure with more effort that could have been an 11 or 12, sans textbook. Unless the course has changed since two years ago, I would not say it's worth buying the book.

If your someone who feels more comfortable getting the textbook and reading certain chapters once in a while then definately get it. But it is certainly not needed as the others here have said.
