Just wondering, when do midterms typically take place. Obviously its around the middle of the term but I just wanted to get a better idea than just that thanks

It depends on how many midterms a course has.
If it has 1, 3rd week in Oct - 1st week in Nov.
If it has 2+ midterms your first one will be around the first or second week in October.

you'll know when your midterms are on the first day of classes. They give you a overview of the course. Just chill for the summer haha, you'll have plenty of work when school comes. Believe me.

The engineers had midterms from when they normally start until like a couple weeks before exams...
(may be over exaggerating...but thats what it felt like!)

First year (life sci) was like at least 1 midterm every week (minus a couple) starting 3 weeks into the semester and ending 2/3 weeks before exams.

My first year, I had a midterm every friday, every single week from oct 10-nov 14, except for halloween (which was a friday).

Second term, I had midterms Jan 30-Mar 27, and there were only two midterm-free weeks in that time period. Some of these midterms were on Fri and some on Mon. Midterms went on forEVER. It's ridiculous. This year wasn't as bad, though

It really depends on your courses/program. But you'll definitely get all the dates for each course at the beginning of the term. So you'll have plenty of time to prepare for each one and organize your time in case you have one midterm after another.
