Milk Crates?
Hi there everybody

I'm just about to get a thingy on my bike that goes over top of the back tire, and I'm looking to get a milk crate to screw on to hold my groceries. Does anyone know where I can get some, or where they've seen some just hanging out I could swipe? :O

Thanks a ton guys

Hmm Milk Crates are usually available at WalMart or Office Supply Stores like Staples(Forgot what the other one is called). They most probably won't be called Milk Crates but are shaped exactly like them, I think they are used to store files!

might wanna try any local fortinos...later at night, go into dairy and ask someone stocking the shelves if you can use one of the milk crates. we get them by the thousands sometimes, so its no big loss. but definitely go at night when there are no managers around

insider tip, you didn't hear it from me

The milk companies actually own those - not Fortinos. They pick them up when they bring the next shipment of milk. You can usually find a couple behind the lounge, Jackie (depending when delivery day is)

My friend stole some behind ITB in first year. They kind of smelled though.

Check at the back of Tim Horton's as well. They get so many that they usually have to stack them outside.

A lot of people put their empties in them and return them to the Beer Store. I work at the Beer Store, and we probably have 15-20 of them stacked outside - we have no use for them. Ask an employee at your local TBS and you'll likely get a couple.

This sounds like the safest bet. Going to grocery stores or restaurants will likely get you a "no" because the crates aren't owned by them and they are likely forced to pay for lost or damaged crates by the milk suppliers.
