minor in biochem
what are the benefits of having a minor in biochemistry? I wanted to take a 4th year about stem cells and in order to get to this course, I have to take couple of 3rd year biochem courses.

After taking BIOCHEM 2EE3, I am having second thoughts about doing a minor.

Minors are really useless for employers. I don't think any of my employers would care about the minor in biochem I am also pursuing.

Minors can be useful for yourself though if you like that subject matter and want to understand it in some depth. I would just do it (for fun). They can't exactly hurt you right?

If you're already in science (which the OP is), a minor in another science is kinda pointless (ie. major: Chem Bio, minor: biochem)

But if you were to minor in something else (ie. major: Chem Bio, minor: Economics), then that will set you apart from other people and you can prove that you're a well rounded person who can do more than just science.

Info on biochem minor found here: http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /CALEN...13/pg1518.html
