Mistakes in Grades
how often do mistakes happen? or is it fairly unlikey? Im looking at a mark and i honestly cant believe I got it.

What should i do?

Contact the prof of your course and ask if you can have your mark breakdown. I think it's farily unlikely, but for alot of classes, you hand in a few assignments right before the exam period and then you don't get your mark back for that assignment, etc. But I suggest you contact your prof, or if your TA is helpful as well, you could contact them too, since they probobly marked your exam too.

I had that happen to me in first year. I failed a course I knew I didn't.

Turns out my prof forgot I had to have my mark redistributed due to an illness.

excuse my apparent ignorance, but what is considered as a "fail"?

McMaster-12point-grading wise. or letter grading wise.

A zero is considered a fail.
