Hey Cootes explorers!
The Cootes Paradise Club has organized 3 awesome activities to get you out and into the beautiful forest this month of June. They’re all free and open to everyone!
Yoga on the Boardwalk!
Bring your yoga practice into the natural environment with a series of two yoga classes being taught in the forest! Classes are taught by experienced Biology undergrad student Yashoda, who will take you through a series of poses that will relax your mind, body, and soul, while the sights and sounds of the forest will provide a great spiritual backdrop. Bring your own mat or towel!
When: Monday the 13th and 18th, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm
Meeting place: Outside at DBAC Plaza, by the big rocks (near The Maroon Shop)
Rain dates: Tuesday the 14th and 19th
Full Moon Night Hike & Bonfire!
Come for a journey under the full moon as we make our way through the forest trails and ending at a bonfire! S’Mores and glowsticks will be provided! Feel free to bring hot dogs and snacks!
When: Wednesday the 15th, from 9:30pm to midnight
Meeting place: BSB Flag Poles in the centre of campus; late-comers can make their way to the Alpine Tower located behind IWC and the soccer fields.
Musician's Jam Session!
A new event co-hosted with MacBeat, join fellow musicians as we jam out under the tree canopy! Bring your instruments of all kinds! Don’t play any instruments? Come out and listen to the beauty of acoustic sounds mixed with singing birds and the wind through the leaves!
When: Thursday the 23rd, 5:30pm
Meeting place: Rock garden behind Hamilton Hall (near Faculty Hallows), from which we’ll journey to the forest.
