I visited Thode yesterday and the internet still seems rather slow (like less than 1 or 2 KB/s). Me and my friends all seem to experience the same problem. We don't seem to have these problems at MUSC and other places..

I think the internet has always been slow in Thode. If I remember correctly, I had the same problems (i.e., really slow access, frequent disconnects) last year. I've just stopped using internet on my laptop when I'm in Thode. If I need the net, I use one of the library computers.

You need moat bandwidth, not routers!

unfortunately, i don't think we have control of bandwidth. i'll keep you posted if i find out any news about the wireless situation though.
