Mother's Day gift ideas
So, Mother's Day is this sunday and I still haven't gotten my mom something. Let's share our ideas to help each other out. All I can think of at the moment is pretty typical stuff. My mom likes bath stuff though, so I guess I could get her that.

I bought my mom these 10 karat gold earrings from Sears. They were on sale a while back..so yeah, that's what I got for my mom.

Keep it simple. Make her a lovely breakfast in bed and a card. There's nothing better than breakfast in bed.

I got her an espresso machine. Now that i think about it though, giving a coffee fanatic an espresso machine doesn't seem like a good idea anymore xD

Moms go crazy for the pampering stuff: manicures, massages etc.
> You could do it on the cheap by doing the breakfast in bed thing + going over the top cleaning the house

My mom is the hardest person to buy for, and her birthday was only two weeks ago! I'm kind of out of ideas...but she loves chocolate, so I'll probably go for that.

You could buy something for the garden: figurines or a bird feeder, potted plant etc. A gift certificate for a mani/pedi is always nice. Some Moms don't do stuff like that for themselves so if she had a gift certificate, she'd have to take advantage of it. Jewelry.

try flower delivery it always works. It's kinda like a surprise too. I did that on my parent's anniversary and my mom (and dad) was VERY happy with it. Though it can be very pricy.. it can cost up to like 300 dollars lol. I usually go for something that's about 100 dollars and split it with my bro.

I like to make personal things for my mom. Two years ago, I made her a powerpoint presentations with a bunch of pictures of the two of us in chronological order, and some poems, with some relevant music. Last year, I wrote her a piano piece. This year, I'm giving her a little box containing tiny pieces of paper, each with one of the reasons why I loved her written on it. There are about 300 of these pieces of paper.

Those are just a few ideas. Basically, I would recommend thinking of your talents and the relationship you have with your mother, and you'll come up with something special.

I'm not going to be home for mothers day this year so I just ordered flowers and I'm getting them delivered to her. She doesn't really expect anything crazy on mothers day other than maybe a card and spending some time together with family, so I think she'll be happy knowing that I'm still thinking about her even though I won't be home.

Is she into makeup, perfume, skin products, etc?

There's a subscription service called Luxe Box by Loose Button where they mail you 4 or 5 "deluxe samples" (ie. travel size) of random products every month. It's $12 per month. I think you can sign her up for 1, 3 or 12 months. It's cool because it's like a present each month, you don't know what products you're going to get.

I talk about this thing on Macinsiders so much, I should get paid for it..
