MSU Charity Ball
So, I was just wondering what people's experience was like going to the Charity Ball last year... I'm not sure if I wanna go through all that trouble finding a ticket (if I find one) BUT, since transportation isn't provided, how do most people get to the Convention center?

My friends and I took the HSR bus last year (which a lot of people do). Though just mind you that the bus does get packed closer to the starting time of Charity Ball.

You can quite easily take the HSR which stops very close to the convention centre, just making sure to get on the bus that is 45-60 minutes early to ensure there is room. Being a female, you'll most likely be wearing a nice dress that you won't want to get wrecked if there's bad weather, snow, etc. so you might want to see if you can get a few friends that live closeby or near campus to pitch in for a cab together and then you can all go down together and split the cost.

Charity Ball is a ton of fun! Everyone's dressed up all nice of course, and the decorations & setup in the main room are pretty sweet. There's a DJ, band, silent auction, and a games area/casino.

Best way to get there is to just cab it. It's only around $10-$15 if you live around the Mac campus.

I'm not sure what you mean by having to "go through all that trouble finding a ticket". They are available at Compass.

I usually cab to the Hamilton Convention Centre (from Westdale) and it comes up to ~$3 a person. There's free coat check. I've heard a few people say that Charity Ball is boring, but that's because they stayed in the main room and didn't check out/know about the other rooms, silent auction and charity casino. So, be sure to explore all of Charity Ball, because I've never had a bad time!

Haha, no problem.
You can grab one off Compass or you can get into contact with someone who works for MSU Campus Events (such as myself) and we can sell you a ticket personally.

Buses are not running at that time, and it's 1:30 if I'm not wrong
