Music 1GR3

If you can play a chamber orchestra instrument and enjoy playing in groups take this course! It was pretty easy and fun. The final exam is based on performance. Your section will play a couple of passages and Dr. Kinder will evaluate you based on that.

Hey guys. I'm not in the science program, but I need an 'easy' elective. When I say 'easy' I mean something enjoyable, and fun. I've been part of my high-school band, and I took music courses throughout high-school. I play the saxaphone, and well this is my first year at McMaster, and I haven't been able to join any bands or anything...If I were to get into this course, I have to be able to do a audition with the professor. Any suggestions as to how well the auditions have to be? Is their a band at McMaster that doesnt=course!

Audition for 1GR3
I was told you need to audition for this course? What do we need to be prepared with coming into the audition? Will we be asked to do sight-reading, playback, and perform repertoire pieces for the audition? If you could answer this question when you get the chance that would be sooo helpful! Thanks
