Music percussion
I know for music, there is a requirement to be in an ensemble.... as a piano play I can't really do anything else, so its either choir or percussion. What if I wanted to do percussion, is previous experience needed?

Looks like you're stuck with vocal ensemble.

I had a friend in the percussion ensemble who is a piano major. But I am not sure if he had previous knowledge of percussion...
I'm assuming you would need to know somewhat something about percussion because it would be useless joining an ensemble not knowing anything about it. Especially with percussion where you're constantly rotating percussion instruments.
Your best bet is to email Dr. Michael Schutz, [email protected] and ask him about it.
I will most likely be joining choir since Flute Ensemble might not be offered anymore :(
