What everyone else is saying about attending the events is very true. You are guaranteed to make a few friends by just attending these events and introducing yourself. Don't worry. Mac is a very friendly school. You are bound to make a friend with almost no effort. If you want plenty of friends, make an effort to meet people.

Since you'll be on campus on Saturday/Sunday, you can still join in on all the fun, Welcome week starts saturday, but not all first years move in until Sunday! So you can still join in on everything if you want to !
