Hey, so im a first year commerce student and i ended up floping two of my exams leading to fails. i want to know how my GPA would be calculated if i decided to retake them in summer. Will degroote kick me out looking at my goa before summer or will they consider summer too. Also i heard that if i drop out of a required course and try to tale it in summer degroote will have to look at my summer courses as they cant kick me out before i attempted all the courses.

Repeating Courses

Effective September 1, 2018, students may repeat a course twice (i.e. attempt a course three times). Cross-listed courses count as attempts. Grades from every attempt will appear on the academic transcript. The Cumulative GPA will include only the grade earned on the most recent attempt. Units earned will be counted once toward the student’s program requirements, regardless of the number of times the course is repeated. Prior to September 1, 2018 the grades from all attempts are included in the GPA calculation.

I was thinking of droping out before the winter term starts and reapply to a diffrent university using my high school transcript. Would i be able to do that?

Another university can see your McMaster grades. Your OUAC (or whatever) number follows you everywhere you go.
