When is the list of new clubs going to be released this year?

All clubs that have been ratified have been notified by email by the MSU Club Administrator via their mcmaster club email addresses and their primary contact's email, so tell your primary contact to check their inbox. The club admin said she would put up a list of ratified clubs on the MSU clubs site, but that doesn't seem to be up.

Hey, are u 100% sure that ALL ratified clubs were contacted/could the clubs admin. have missed a club

I got emailed for both of my clubs.

Interesting, I'm going to contact the clubs administrator tomorrow, I'm just considering the possibility that she may not have emailed everyone yet, especially new clubs, but that she might get to it by Friday.

Dunno, one of mine was brand new and we got the email today.

The SRA ratified all clubs for approval at the SRA meeting last Sunday. Keep in mind that over 350 clubs have been ratified, so the Clubs Administrator may be sending emails out over a period of time rather than all at once.

If you are interested in seeing what clubs have been ratified, go to the MSU Website --> Governance --> SRA --> SRA Documents (https://www.msumcmaster.ca/governance/sra/sra-documents). The clubs ratification list is posted there, in addition to all documents that SRA members receive before a meeting. As it so happens, the President's and VPs' year plans are all posted there as well because the SRA just approved those. You don't have to be an SRA member to see these documents - they're available to the public!

Me too! I heard the execs are all pretty cool dudes, can't wait for it to start :D

I want to start a club. Is it too late? Maybe I can still get it going if I don't get money from the university

It's too late to start it for September, but you can apply by the mid-November deadline to get your club ratification application approved and get club status for January.

Sorry but how do you get involved in a club first year? Is there a sign up sheet? And is there a list of all the clubs available that I can look at anywhere?

There's an event during welcome week called Clubfest on September 4th (10am-2pm) where most of the clubs have information tables and sign up sheets. If you can't make it out to clubfest or if you're looking for a club that's not attending, try checking the msu club directory in september for the emails of the clubs you're interested in; they can tell you about how to sign up and when their meeting times are.
