New Website
Hi there,
I am currently in the process of creating a website which services McMaster students.
If anyone is willing to join and help me moderate the website which will be launching this September.
If you have some knowledge of web design or development that would be great!
If you are interested you can shoot me a private message or email.

It will provide a way for first year students to interact and communicate with each other through an online platform.

How is it different from Macinsiders? Besides Chad not being there.
How is it different from reddit?

It would be a portal for only first years, I cant say it would be too different from any other forum board.

Hi Elilan
Not sure the advantage of setting up yet another community forum board just for first-year students, why not help promote MacInsiders and work with us instead?

I am confused. MacInsiders already serves as an excellent online platform for first year students to communicate on and ask questions to upper year students. How will it be any different. MacInsiders is already well known and well established.

Also the group of first-years changes each year, so you wouldn't ever build a solid member base and repetition would be a problem. With only a year to become comfortable with the forum, getting the word out would also have issues.
What exactly is the point of this "interaction" that you keep mentioning?
There are already facebook groups for residences and different programs and also often just "McMaster class of 20xx", so how would these be any different or better?
It feels like you want to do this just for the sake of doing it, without a real goal/purpose in mind.
