am i missing something? is this guy actually running with no campaigning whatsoever or did he drop out of the race?

There are often candidates who don't come out of the gates as quickly as the others; this happens every year. How much or little the candidate chooses to participate is up to them really.

As it stands the candidate is running, and if that should change MI will keep you updated.

No one has ever dropped out of a Campaign Race for 30 Years (Source: Dave Moore; I think...)
I know this guy personally, I won't comment on what is going on but he doesn't have much going on publically in regards to his campaign.
