Interesting... am glad in a way cause that means bus routes won't be deviated but I was pretty sure that they would have gone on strike from all the rumours...

Good news indeed. I have to say this whole idea that a strike was even necessary just completely floored me...
I talked to several TA's the last couple of days who thought the whole thing was ridiculous. Unions, especially CUPE, are really beginning to piss me off. If the TA's HAD striked, then my friday chemistry1A03 lab would have been delayed, causing me to have it the same week that I have ALL MY OTHER LABS! Meaning, I would have had less time to prepare for each one!
And if it were to have extended to Tuesday the following week, I would have had my other labs delayed too! Arrgh!

CUPE gets my thumbs down for that.

ya
I hear ya Jon, all the TAs I talked to.. the majority didnt want to strike cause they didnt want to hurt the students. But then if they dont strike, then it looks like they are supporting the university administration and going against their union... not very smart.

so.. either way it was lose/lose for them

stikes always hurt the students. Its a tactic to put pressure on the university.
