*FACEPALM*

Parents should realize that Wi-Fi =/= atomic bomb. Fail.

The same issue came up in Ontario at the beginning of the school year. Faux science is a hobby for some people, I'm fairly certain.

My high school had Wi-Fi and I turned out okay.

I mean I'm sure the random bleeding and loss of vision had nothing to do with it.

"Why would we expose them to even more radiation in the school?"

I'm glad that's not my mom.

That's exactly what I thought.. There's much bigger issues that parents need to deal with like having qualified teachers and a decent education system across all schools not THIS -____-

Ever since the news started reporting that cell phone signals might be causing cancer, there have been plenty of people afraid of any wireless signal. This story really doesn't surprise me at this point...

Wi-fi? Dangerous? You have to be kidding me.

More than half of the radiation an average person receives in a year comes from natural sources (UV, cosmic rays, radon gas). If Wi-Fi is as dangerous as these most-likely-are-mothers-who-spend-too-much-time-reading-up-on-crap-like-Reader's-Digest people claim it to be, then I'm sure everyone with granite countertops in their kitchens will die from the radon gas, giving them the gift of lung cancer. Also for all the basement dwellers in them student houses. And almost everyone in British Columbia would be wiped out because they live on top of granite.

OH PULLEASEEEE

(As an aside, is now my favourite emoticon.)
