I was just wondering if the Summer School course at mac for 2OA3 was harder or easier or the same difficulty as 2OA3 during the regular year.

It will be the same difficulty, since the syllabus is exactly the same. The only advantage you'll have is more time to devote to chemistry, since you won't have four/five other courses to worry about.
