Osap
hi guys,
I'm an upper year student, but this is the first time I needed to apply to OSAP and I wasn't sure about the process. I filled in and submitted the online application and even sent in the signature pages on tuesday. Is that all that has to be done or is there any more papers that need to be sent in? When I looked a the checklist, there was a document called "Supporting documentation" with checklist at the bottom, but im not sure if I have to send that in too?
thanks

Not unless it tells you the specific supporting document.

thank you for replying. Do they usually ask for other documents though or is that just in case? Also what type of documents might they ask for?

That's just in certain cases. No idea what they might ask for. Maybe like if you had a disability, or if you are a crown ward, I dunno though since I don't know anyone who's had to give supporting document.

thanks again! I just received an update and it says that i need to complete the "confirmation of enrolment" and "cofirmation of income" forms, but it also states the amount. Does that mean that it's been approved? And how/when do I sign these documents, there are no files online.
thank you!

Confirmation of enrolment will be done when you pick up OSAP. I'm pretty sure that confirmation of income is on OSAP's end, not 100% sure but I'm pretty sure.

I agree with Jeremy, I'm pretty sure the income confirmation is done by the SFAS/OSAP.

Nope, just wait until your status is updated and re-confirm your payment agreement (August 15th the latest).

Oh so this is still not updated? I thought as soon as the estimate is up, that's all. :/

It's just an estimate. For some people the entitlement is different from the estimate while for others it's the same.

If you haven't applied to OSAP yet, it won't show up on your PA.

You should definitely do your OSAP application as soon as you can. However, make sure you confirm your PA at least once so that SOLAR can re-open for you on time. After your OSAP approval, you can go and change your PA .
