I took this class in the summer of '07 and at that time, the professor was Julie Hyde.
The courseware was really expensive and was filled with a lot of journal articles to supplement what the course was discussing. Read those articles and make sure you get your money's worth!
Although I liked this course and the topics it covered, I felt it did not dig deep enough through the surface as I would have hoped. It enlightened me on a lot of topics that I had never heard of but a lot of it was very superficial.
I am a Physics student so this course was out of my comfort zone (omg I had to write stuff ! ) but I still enjoyed it!
If you are interested in the Peace Studies program, I would definitely recommend this class. If you are looking for a good elective, this is a great course to take! It's almost a guarenteed good mark!

It either got changed to another course, or it isn't offered anymore.

It was every bit as much of a bird course as it sounded. Waste of my time and all of my lectures/tutorials were at 8:30am on the other side of campus. Not sad that its gone, but glad for my easy 10
